2009 has seen the launch of Ashaway's new ZyMax range of strings. In development for over 18 months, Ashaway have designed a new core construction technique called ZyWeaVe, which allows for the production of a lighter and stronger badminton string. ZyMax 62 (0.62mm) is the thinnest badminton string in the world and is 25% lighter than a standard 0.70mm gauge string, allowing the player to get more power and control on the shuttle.
